More about
BJTÂ Language Services
The medical profession is demanding. Whether you're a clinician, investigator, or publisher, you need a translation service provider that won’t let you down.

BJT Language Services lets you focus on what you do best, while we take the stress out of the translation process.
How can we help you?

We speak your language
We’re lifelong language learners, and between us we speak four languages. Andrew is a native English speaker, and Pedro a native Spanish speaker. This puts us in a unique position as we’re able to offer expert insight into two of the most spoken languages in the world: English and Spanish.

Your intellectual
property is safe with us
We’ve created a non-disclosure agreement that you can use free of charge when you purchase one of our services. This will give you peace of mind knowing that your intellectual property is safe. Of course, we’re happy to use your own non-disclosure agreement if you have one.

Personalised service
The service we offer is tailored to you and your needs. We can advise you on how best to render your text in either English or Spanish, so that it still meets regulatory requirements and/or adheres to style guides, while being received in the best possible way by the target audience.

Getting started

We both took quite different routes
into translation.
Andrew went down the traditional route with a formal education in languages. First a bachelor’s degree in Spanish studies and mathematics at Lancaster University and then a master’s degree in applied translation studies at the University of Leeds.

Pedro on the other hand studied communication science at Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, one of the most prestigious public universities in Mexico. He was introduced to translation while working in the hotel industry, and became instantly hooked. He later took the plunge into freelance life in May 2022.
COVID, lockdowns and... BJT Language Services
You probably shouldn't start a business when a global pandemic is crippling the job market... right?
In September 2020, the UK was suffering the fallout from the first lockdown. Andrew was eager to kickstart his translation career, but companies weren't hiring. Rather than admitting defeat, he decided to create BJT Language Services.
Within six months, the company had a solid client base and Andrew was translating full-time. Business continued to grow, which led to Andrew collaborating with trusted colleagues to keep up with the market demand. One of these translators was Pedro, who later officially joined BJT Language Services in September 2022.
